Once the old sealant has been removed, it’s time to prepare the area for the new sealant. You may need to clean the area to remove any residue left behind from the old sealant. It also helps to remove and oil or grease etc. that may be present. Then, you can take your mastic gun with CT1 and start to apply a bead of the sealant around the sink where it joins the counter. You can also use CT1 to seal around the taps if necessary. Try your best to make sure that the bead has no gaps to ensure proper application and finish the seal with a tool or your finger for a smooth finish.
