Fix a Leaking Skylight Window

A Leaking Skylight Window is often the cause of a leaking roof problem. It is not the window itself leaking rather the seal around the skylight. Over a period of time the seal between the frame and the roof lathes degrades due to element exposure causing a Leaking Skylight.

Trying to fix the Leaking Skylight with a silicon or mastic sealant will only be a short time fix as the silicon will over time shrink and crack again resulting in a Leaking Skylight or Leaking Roof problem.

The only solution to this problem is the tried and tested CT1 unique sealant and construction adhesive, otherwise known as The Snag List Eliminator.

CT1 is a unique hybrid polymer with no solvents or volatile components, therefore it’s guaranteed never to shrink. CT1 has a unique flexibility allowing movement of joints. CT1 has a formidable bond strength creating a strong bond and seal between the plastic seal of the window and the wood lathe.

During the period of the Leaking Skylight Window the surrounding area would be wet, but this is not a problem when applying CT1. CT1 can be applied in wet conditions EVEN UNDERWATER. It is advantageous to remove old sealants and clean the area before applying CT1. Multisolve, our unique multi-purpose solvent in a handy aerosol is perfect for this job.
